This shit really worked this time! I hoped and prayed it would, but then when it really happened I wasn't prepared emotionally. I went from feeling super excited to feeling numb and slightly paranoid that it was just a tease like before. When he found the one heartbeat and then found another one I was in shock! This time if felt different. This time I knew my babies we're going to make it. Little did I know this was just the beginning of the journey for all of us (see previous posts).
As I sit here writing my last post and waiting for my babies arrival within the next couple of weeks, I feel overwhelmed, excited and scared. I've spent so much time doing everything to keep them safe in the womb, I hadn't thought about preparing for when they come out. Try making a registry as first time parent and planning for twins. I was LOST, but I think we've made it work. We're planning for babies, new jobs and and cross country move all at the same time. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm grateful for my family, friends and the patience and support of my husband who has been there without ONE complaint! Well, at least to me....I've done a few things that shoulda got me cursed out a time or two. I know this wasn't much, but I hope the abbreviated and raw version of my story can help the next woman. Whatever happens remember you are enough. Even if your journey ends with no successful pregnancy, you still have options with surrogacy and adoption. If that doesn't work, you're still great and still a woman with worth. Never let anyone tell you differently sis. Continue to be great in your own skin and life journey. Enjoy the ride!
