Where's my baby?

Everything was going great. I had my 2 healthy babies and husband safe and sound in the hospital. It was July 7 and we were gearing up to leave the hospital the next day. However, before we left, the boys needed to be circumcised. Waking up from a nap they bring Tife back in first, following Tife wasn't baby Waji, it was a random doctor I hadn't met with this grim look on his face. I look behind him and I don't see my baby. He proceeds to tell me that baby Waji is being rushed to children's hospital for emergency surgery. Still healing from my c-section, I knew crying too hard would not be an option. As tears rolled down my face I b-lined down the hall to see him. I thought I was moving fast, but by time I got to him people in blue jumpsuits were already there prepping him for transport. He looked so little and helpless, yet peaceful and not in any pain. I kissed and kissed him before my husband told me they needed to go. I silently cried with tears going down my face and walked slowly back to the room where I had another baby to look after. I was trying to wrap my head around how I literally went from him passing his car seat test to go home to being rushed into surgery. Just when I thought we had beat the odds, another punch in the gut. Baby Waji had surgery and I went home the next day with one baby.

I finally made it to Children's 2 days later to see baby Waji. There's no explanation to why he ended up with a hole in his colon. All I know is that my baby almost died and the next time I saw him he had a tube in his nose and an ostomy bag. This would be his home for the next 3 weeks.

p.s. shout out to my cousin Rosaleena who left her THREE kids to come stay with me at the hospital the last night
